Meditations of an Engineer

This isn’t just a blog about software engineering. It’s a space to reflect on the work I do and the problems I solve.

As a developer, most of my time goes into building systems and fixing things. But alongside that, there’s always been an urge to document my thoughts, what I learn, and the reasoning behind the decisions I make. This blog is where I put some of that into words.

An important part of being an engineer is staying relevant, continuously learning and adapting to new technologies. That’s a challenge in itself, and everyone approaches it differently. Some rely on books, others on videos, and many prefer learning by building projects.

I’ve always leaned toward detailed writing over quick, stripped-down formats. During college, whenever I learned something new, I would build a project around it. That helped reinforce concepts and exposed gaps I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

But things change. With a full-time job and responsibilities outside of work, building projects for every new concept isn’t always practical. So I turned to writing instead.

Once I finish learning something, I try to write about it from memory. Revisiting those notes later helps me see what I missed, what I misunderstood, and what actually stuck.

That’s where this blog comes in. A place to think through the work and ideas I explore. Not complete or perfect, just evolving.
